>> Download the PPT slides from this session
Citizens are inundated with information and misinformation, alongside sophisticated efforts to intentionally mislead the public (disinformation). And the world’s endless state of ‘infodemic’ (or ‘mis-infodemic,’ the rapid spread of misinformation) is having serious consequences. This session will share the latest updates and insights from a CIHR-funded LES on health-related misinformation, a new LES underway about strategies to address misinformation related to political institutions, as well as insights from government decision-makers, citizens and researchers championing efforts to strengthen evidence-support systems and to address misinformation.
