RISE lunchtime webinar on how OHTs can meaningfully engage their community and develop appropriate mechanisms for communication
Watch a recording of this webinar.
One building block underpinning the success of all OHTs is their ability to meaningfully partner with patients and successfully engage their communities in the planning and delivery of OHT activities. Strong community engagement approaches offer OHTs an opportunity to engage communities whose voices aren’t typically heard, and whose input can strengthen the planning, design, governance and delivery of services. This webinar focuses specifically on community engagement and touches on communication strategies and mechanisms to support such engagement. It begins by exploring the foundations of good community engagement and then highlights the experiences of RISE OHT community of practice members, Tracey Turriff and Erica Di Maio, as they employ these concepts in their work. The webinar is the fourth in a series of six lunchtime webinars focused on topics particularly relevant to teams invited to full application and was developed in response to requests for more discussion on this topic from RISE OHT community of practice members. A recording of the webinar will be posted on the RISE website.
