Aditya Nidumolu

Queen Elizabeth Scholars in Strengthening Health Systems (2016)

Aditya is an undergraduate student in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program specializing in global health. After discovering an interest in healthcare economics, he began working as a research assistant with the McMaster Health Forum Impact Lab in 2014. His current research interests center around how primary care models can be tailored to vulnerable populations, including persons with complex health needs and persons with mental illnesses. Additionally, he is interested in how entrepreneurship can be utilized to address healthcare challenges internationally.

As an outgoing Queen Elizabeth Scholar, he will be travelling to Trinidad & Tobago to intern at the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA). One of Aditya’s primary responsibilities while with CARPHA will be to assist with a stakeholder dialogue on healthy food environments. He hopes to develop a stronger understanding of how primary care can be strengthened in different health systems.
