Queen Elizabeth Scholarships

The McMaster Health Forum is honoured to be a recipient of two Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship programs. 

Our first program ran from 2014-18 and focused on strengthening health systems in Commonwealth countries. Through this program we engaged 61 graduate and undergraduate students with 47 Canadian students travelling abroad to work with our international partners and 14 international graduate students travelling to Canada to work directly with the McMaster Health Forum.

The Forum was then one of 20 Canadian institutions to receive a second program running from 2018-21 through which we were able expand our focus to include strengthening social systems along with an expanded reach of the program to include all low- and middle-income countries. While expected to end in December 2021, the program was extended to December 2023.
