James McKinlay

Senior Lead, Programs

James leads all non-scientific aspects of ongoing programs for the Forum which involves implementing, maintaining, and developing necessary enhancements to the operational structure and processes required to conduct each program effectively. He is a skilled researcher with knowledge and experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. He was simultaneously the research coordinator for the Canadian Centre for Advanced Practice Nursing Research, and the Canadian Centre for Excellence in Oncology Advanced Practice Nursing. He began his career at McMaster working on the original McMasterPLUS Trial.

James’ has also taught extensively in various undergraduate programs. He has taught research-based courses on research methods, analysis and statistics in research, and the critical appraisal of research. Additionally, he has taught health-based courses on the Canadian healthcare system, determinants of health, and gerontology.
