Addressing the global health human resources crisis

Governmental policymakers and system and organizational leaders in almost all countries are grappling with the best ways to manage the global health human resources (HHR) crisis. The urgency associated with the HHR crisis has resulted in a growing awareness that it poses a serious threat to equity, health systems and global health, and presents an obstacle to achieving universal health coverage (UHC) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
