Dec 14, 2017
Programs: Stakeholder dialogues
Chronic pain is a serious health problem in Canada given its prevalence and impacts on physical functioning, disability and quality of life, as well as broader societal implications such as the extensive use of healthcare services by those with chronic pain, and productivity costs, among others. While there may be significant costs associated with preventing and managing chronic pain, failing to do so using evidence-based approaches may incur even greater costs.
