Lunch and learn workshop: McMaster Optimal Aging Portal

The recently launched McMaster Optimal Aging Portal is a public website that serves as a trusted information source for citizens, health care providers, researchers, and policy makers who have questions about how people can stay healthy, active and engaged as they grow older. The site aims to become Canada's authoritative voice on optimal aging, and offers a range of free, up-to-date, evidence-based information and tools.

In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn to use the different types of resources and tools contained in the portal, in order to obtain the best available health information about optimal aging. It will be particularly useful for those with research interests in the field of aging, those who are involved in programs that support optimal aging in practice, and for those who have a personal interest in the topic.

The event format will include a brief demonstration of the portal followed by hands-on activities. A complimentary buffet-style lunch will be provided at the start of the session.

This workshop will be held on Wed Feb 10, 2016 from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. Please RSVP to mhf@mcmaster.ca with "Optimal Aging" in the subject line by Mon Feb 8 at 5:00 p.m.
