Chloe Gao
Queen Elizabeth Scholars in Strengthening Health Systems (2018) and FellowChloe is an undergraduate student in the Bachelor of Health Sciences Program specializing in Child Health. Through her extensive experience working in health systems research, as a research assistant at the Forum’s Impact Lab and the Mental Health Research Department at St. Michael’s Hospital, Chloe has developed an interest in supporting evidence-informed policymaking and service user engagement in health care reform.
As an outgoing Queen Elizabeth Scholar, Chloe will be travelling to Sydney, Australia to intern at the Sax Institute. There, she will be working alongside the Knowledge Exchange team, and will help develop tools and resources to support the best use of research in decision making. Through her internship, Chloe hopes to gain further insights into the processes by which research evidence can be translated into the implementation of regulatory policies which are conducive to improved population health outcomes.
