Tahmina is an undergraduate student in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program specializing in Global Health. She has become particularly interested in the role of policy in facilitating health innovation adoption through her internship in the MaRS EXCITE program. Tahmina will be interning at the Innovation and Research Unit at the National Health Service (NHS) in London, United Kingdom.

As an outgoing Queen Elizabeth Scholar at the NHS, Tahmina will be working on several projects that will strengthen the innovation ecosystem in the NHS. In particular she will be part of a project addressing the lack of consistent evidence requirements for digital health technologies. During her internship, Tahmina hopes to develop a nuanced understanding of the NHS and the role of innovation in producing better value for a health system.
