Jean (Zhuo Jing) Wang

Jean is an undergraduate student in the Bachelor of Health Sciences Program at McMaster University specializing in Global Health. Through her prior research experiences, she has developed an interest in chronic disease management and health systems strengthening. She conducted a project at Mount Sinai Hospital with Dr. Sinha examining models of care in geriatrics and worked under the supervision of Dr. Lavis for a third year inquiry project.

As an outgoing Queen Elizabeth Scholar, she will be travelling to Melbourne, Australia to intern with the Australian Prevention Partnership Group. She will assist with initiatives that examine chronic disease prevention through a systems thinking perspective. She hopes that she will deepen her understanding of health systems research and how it can be utilized to address pressing health issues.
