Tamika Jarvis

Tamika Jarvis is a doctoral candidate in the Health Policy PhD program, specializing in Political Science, at McMaster University. She is supervised by Michael Wilson. Tamika has a background in health studies and gerontology, and completed her Master of Public Health from McMaster University (2017). She is interested in public health services and systems research and strengthening health systems. Her thesis research focuses on enhancing collaboration and integration between health and non-health sectors.

Tamika’s previous research work has included conceptualizing public health systems, the impact of health system reforms on pandemic response and the public health sector, and supporting equitable access to assistive technology.
